How much savings are there for pole buildings over traditional construction?
Permit cost are less, less cost for foundation, materials and construction is usually quicker.
How long does it take to put up a pole building?
It depends on the size & height, but the typical garage takes about 1 to 1 ½ weeks and a larger garage/shop about 2 to 2 ½ weeks.
Who handles the necessary permits?
We do most of the research work, preparing for the permit application. We are updated with the Whidbey Island process of the municipal city and county. We prepare all documents for the permitting and engineering if needed.
How long does permitting usually take?
Depends on the county/city work load or if the property is in a critical or historical reserve area, could take longer. Anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks. We monitor the process and keep the owners updated throughout the application.
Do you have ready- made designs, or do you work with designers and architects?
We do work with some plans, designers and architects. We also work with potential clients to design plans for their needs. Some buildings are the same but normally there is extra doors, windows, to add or replace to address everyone’s needs.
